Ok  AFTER seeing Jerry's at the Lansing Buggy show. I loved the "stance" of this buggy, And now I'm beginning my Sand Addiction dream.    Here is what I brought home from Silver Lake this weekend. ( DO YOU KNOW how hard is is making 2 trips to and from Cleveland  (6hrs each way) to Silver lake and NOT even getting on the Sand?)

Oh, the rear shocks haven't come in yet, but Garth rigged it up so we could get it home

It's not illegal, it's frowned upon, like masturbating on an airplane.

Yes it would be neat to get the 3 buggies together. I'm sticking with my 2276 for now with a 5 rib bus tranny, (unless something bigger comes up before it's done)

According to my wife, it's TOO much.  It would be really tight trying to get a V-8 in the back, but I suppose it could be done.

Were you standing on Garth's roof for this shot?

Can it be set up for a V8?

If you bring Garth the driveline, he can build a car around it. Biggest problem for V8 cars is finding a transmission that will hold up and not break the bank. A Mendeola will cost you more than the chassis will!

x2.. i really wanted to go with a LSx type motor.. i have alil background in them and wanted to put a twin to my blown 6.0 in my silverado ss.. but after talking to terry.. i didnt want to spend $15,000 to $18,000 for the trans to hold the power when im going to build the complete buggy in that price range

some one needs to come up with a cheaper way to do a tranny.. thats just insane!  i mean its one thing to put that kinda money in to a frame.. or to put it in to a motor.. i can understand that.. but that kinda money in to just a trans?? ugh.. but theyve got you by the ballz..theres really know other option Cry

don't know if this will plug in mike but you can try. it's from a mckee and had a hemi attached to it originally. been in my garage since mid 80's and is shown upside down (to keep the gear lube in it). may not fit if you had it built for vw but ask garth if alterations are included.
