Okay my bad...we were always on the Bull Gap loop.  If you look at the map, up on Evan's Rd there's an icon with a quad on it.  The trail ends there, however, you can ride on the road to go into McKinley to get gas and food.  At least that's how it was back in 03/04...somewhere around there.  Not sure if it's still legal or not.

That was St Helen's. My buddy wiped out at Bull Gap closer to the hill.

Ok, if I can make it this weekend I will. Can also go to any book store and pick it up. Think I paid like $15?

Those are nice, but what a pain to carry on the trail with you while riding.  Or don't you carry the maps with you?

Thats the same one that I have and I don't really care for it. The trails are hard to see and some of the trails aren't there. Bull gap is there but it shows it as a snowmobile trail and doesn't give it a name. Meadows is not there at all.

Mindi I usually carry a printed map from the DNR and Fishweb. I like the large map for trip planning and locating camp sites.

I'm thinking about getting one of these or just printing them off myself

I've toyed with the idea of printing off each of the trails that I ride, then get it laminated.  But not too thick plastic, something flexible so I can roll it up.  But I really thing I'm going to buy a GPS, mount it to my handlebars, then buy that VVMapping software.  A buddy of mine has it and he LOVES it.  We used it when we were riding the Gladwin loop, I think that's what it was, and it was very helpful.  The trail was mismarked and if it wasn't for that GPS, we would've been lost for a long time, or until the DNR showed up to give us a ticket.    I just need to find a good GPS to use.

The map will last you a long time, and it'll withstand water, mud, & dirt.
