Friday was GREAT... very few OTHER vehicles.

Watch this Truck Fly up and OVER test hill... He was airborne at the top!
<a href="http://i272.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid272.photobucket.com/albums/jj191/mdburke2966/CrazyTruckdriver.flv" target="_blank">http://i272.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid272.photobucket.com/albums/jj191/mdburke2966/CrazyTruckdriver.flv</a>
He was gone when we went over...So I guess he survived the jump.

I've got camera mounts in 3 places on the buggy, BUT always go back to the one behind the windshield in the middle.

Here is the overhead behind mount

and the dash mount

the top mount can be moved to any bar on the buggy.... so I have lotsa options

Both from the front

oh wow, you have the remote camera and everything... sorry to    you, but can you get me some details on that?  what does something like that run?  does it plug into a regular video camera, or does it have its own unit?

My Sony HC96 stays in a sandproof amo box... the helmet cam is connected to it  The mic is between the box and the front of the seat. The remote on and off Only works with a video camera with a LANC connection. Sony seems to be the only brand that usually has that.  It all works really nice...  the Helmet cam has it's own 18hr rechargable battery, so I leave it on all day. The remote shuts the video camera off and is the record button. it has a little light on it so you can see if you recording or not.... I usually forget to stop the recording when we stop on the dunes  BangHead It's part of the O & S syndome!

well crap, my camera doesn't have that port.  cool setup!

i plan on making a mount for my whole camera... yeah, it's super vulnerable out in the open, but i bought it used, and with the intent of using it on the dunes.... so i guess its a chance i'll hafta take.
