I don't want any buggy guys or gals to get their panties in a bunch just saying for the weight they are moving it's pretty impressive that the trucks can compete
I have nothing but respect for the Soper family and all the old time hill climb and msba members
the truck guys I will say have had the trophy for 3 in a row

It should be mentioned that there have been no TA, FA, or TFA class buggies on the hill in quite some time. The only turbo buggies on the hill this year were TD class.

Both of the trucks I looked at (The yellow Jeep and blue Blazer) were running big blowers on Small Block Chevys. In the buggy classes, that would make them TA class unless they are also running nitrous; as that would make them TFA class.

Just trying to get a rise out of the truck Levi guys. I like to watch the fast trucks/jeeps cause ya never know what kind of run they will have. My best time was 2.007 on a 145 ft. hill and most of the time it was between 2 and 2.2 sec. unless I had bad run. Larry and Christi W., Randy V. and couple of others I know have run under the 2 seconds. Randy rolled his buggy and total out the frame the last time he ran when he caught to much air on top. My new car is not that fast, also different class but the wife did not want me running the hill climb because we are headed for Little Serria dunes in Ok in two weeks. Hope they can get rid of some sand and keep the hillclimb going. Also need the numbers of entry's to cover insurance so they need to let anybody run that wants to.

Don't know what class I'd fit in, but that's something I've always wanted to do (even though I don't like racing up the hills), just seems like it never happens.

The hill is soft sand, so it doesn't hook as well as the track. You'd probably be in TK2 if I were to guess. TK1 being the fast guys and TK3 being the... Erm... Not so fast guys?

With the truck classes, there's really no change in class just because you're running a bottle or turbo.

Personally, I think the class "point" system is kind of a joke, with all the concentration on the engine mods and 2 or 4wd.Seems like there would be some sort of weight break or stock body class, but you can't have tiny details with so few vehicles. I was put in TK3 with Mark Moser. That truck is a full second faster than mine. That being said, I will still compete as many times as I can for the sheer fun of it, and the sweeeeett trophy I got :o

Red Ford with scoops?
If it's the one I'm thinking of, I've got the footage at home and can post it for you.
IIRC, nothing out of the ordinary happened.

Edit: Derr... It's the one that didn't make it all the way up on the first pass... I can't answer that one with a video.
