There is NO comparison to Baldwin. I have taken my quad out on the Muskegon trails, as well as the Baldwin trails, and would much rather go to Baldwin.

Are'nt they good dirt bike trails though? I know I prefer tight windy trails for bikes, and wide open for the quad, so Baldwin is great for quads...

In my opinion, they are shitty. There are alot of tree roots, and for a quad, those really suck. As I said, this is just MY opinion. There were even a few spots where there was broken all over the trail. I guess some people may like that, or, maybe I'm a pussy. I guess, go ride them and make your own decision. At least you got to go out and go for a ride.

The ceder creek trail (I think this is the only legal trail in muskegon) is a dirtbike trail and is not meant for atv's. Last time I was out there on a dirtbike was like 10 years ago (man I am getting old ). Anyway they are alright for bikes if you like them tight, real tight like handlebar width. I don't think a fullsize atv will even fit on any of the trails there.

Cedar Creek is where I went with my quad. They are very tight, especially with 4 wheels.

I live in Muskegon and have been on the trails about 5 to 6 times this year with my quad. Way too tight in spots but its so close for me that I still go. I have been over the handle bars once this season when i hit a stump . I was still in first gear but I still rolled the quad. I think it is a way better choice for bikes but like I said its so close that I will be back on them again this year

Baldwin is about 45minutes northeast of Mears, Mio is about 3 hours away, northeast from Mears. If you look at a State of Michigan map, go to about the center of the state near St.Helen or Grayling, and Mio is east of these. For Baldwin, if you find Ludington, look east of there. Hope this helps.

Yeah Baldwin is much wider and more quad friendly. But Muskegon is more challenging for a bike.

Been there twice 3-4 years ago, bounced the handle bars off the trees a few times. Defiantly bike trails, but you may be able to squeeze a quad through. There were various spots that only gave me a couple inches off clearance with the handle bar width between two trees. Its a fun challenge though.

As I stated earlier on this topic, I live in Muskegon and have been on the trails many times this year with a quad. You can do all 20 miles ( 1 north loop, 2 south loops) on a quad , but it is very tight in many spots and I did indeed go over the bars once this past year. Definetely better for bikes but doable for quads. You just dont get out of 1st or 2nd gear much witha quad.
